“Oh great God, be small enough to hear me now,”  I cried out through tears.  Be small enough to hear my ache, my hurt, my fear; be small enough to meet me here.  And again and again, my Jesus made himself small, to meet me in my smallness, in my fear, in my doubt.

We can look back at the Scriptures which followed after Adam and Eve were banished from the garden and see that the Lord never did give up on his creation. He has never taken his eye off what he made for his purposes. As his eye is ever on the sparrow, it is on mankind.

The question “How are we made right with God?” has been the focus of my study recently. Since I’ve been a Christ-follower for many years, this question and its answer seemed to me elementary and simple. Even if you haven’t considered the question or its implications, it’s easy to give the Sunday School answer (Jesus!) and go on about your day, likely not giving it much more thought.

Letting my mouth say what my heart felt seemed like heresy. After so many years of walking with the Lord, could I even ask such a question? But as wave after wave crashed over those I loved, I had real and hard questions.

No matter what I experience, we worship the God who paints the sunrise in the sky, perfectly blending light and color and beauty together as a gift for us each day as an invitation to remember who He is and what He has done.

Grasping the basic relationship between what Christ has already done, the grace given to us through Him, what the Spirit is doing in us now, and what to make of our good works can greatly impact our lives. A biblical understanding of these keeps us from so many errors which threaten to rob God of the glory of His grace to us while also making our lives fruitless. 

On the outside, it looks like diligently working hard, taking control of my task list with a frenzy, and brushing off compliments. But on the inside, it looks like working in a frenzy to prove a point, taking control because no one else will do it like I can, and being agitated that the acknowledgment didn’t come quicker.

In life, we often overlook the significance of the little things, dismissing them as mere coincidences or unrelated events. However, when we look closer, we can see how God's hand has been at work, orchestrating moments of provision and guidance.

We believe every follower of Jesus is a disciple-making disciple. So we desire to equip every woman with a foundational understanding of our faith so she can live in the light of the gospel and share it with others as she goes.
