New City Kids 2nd - 3rd Grade Class

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.

This verse tells us just how powerful kids who love and follow Jesus are in God’s hands! New City Kids seeks to come alongside parents to make young disciples of Jesus, who make other disciples of Jesus.  We strive to remove every obstacle between our kids and the real Jesus and to keep Him at the forefront of all that we do.  After all, Jesus is the Hero in every story!

It has always been our desire to help people of all ages to learn to live in light of the gospel. This desire extends from the youngest child to the oldest adult. One of the primary means we disciple is through our Missional Communities. But, we realize that age-appropriate discipleship is also a necessity to maximize an understanding and application of the gospel. We have offered classes from birth to 1st grade for many years and have recently started focusing on middle and high school students. On Dec. 6th, we will begin offering 2nd – 3rd-grade classes during the second service. We are very excited to see this next level of age-appropriate discipleship begin at New City. Keri Whitehead will begin teaching the class, and Faye Watson will be assisting her.

Our hope is that we will begin offering 4th-5th-grade classes in the very near future. Providing this class will close the gap and allow us to disciple from the youngest of children to our adults.

The 2nd – 3rd grade New City Kids class will engage in Bible stories, crafts, activities, songs, and prayer, all geared to point them to knowing and loving Jesus.  Your 2nd -3rd graders can join the main gathering for the singing portion and then transition upstairs during the break. We look forward to seeing you Sunday morning on Dec. 6th!
